What are the eligibility requirements for Orthodontists to work in Gulf countries?
What is the pass score for Orthodontics specialist exam in the GCC?
- For the DHA (Dubai) exam, the pass mark is 65%.
- For DOH/HAAD, Qatar and NHRA Bahrain, the pass score is 65%.
- In Saudi Arabia under SDLE/SCFHS, the required score is 65% for Registrar level and 70% for Senior Registrar level.
What is the difference between DHA vs DOH vs Saudi SDLE Orthodontics specialist exam?
DHA (Dubai Health Authority) allow you to work only in Dubai, DOH (Department of Health, Abu Dhabi) for practicing in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain and SDLE (Saudi Dental Licensure Examination) for practicing in Saudi Arabia.
Both, DHA and DOH consist of 150 clinical scenario–based MCQs to be completed in 3 hours while Saudi SDLE comprises two sections of 100 MCQs each (200 questions total), with a scheduled break in between and total exam duration of 4 hours.
DHA and SDLE are delivered through Prometric Testing, while DOH (formerly HAAD) uses Pearson Vue.

All Exam Takers, I recommend to you this tremendous pretty very helpful portal if you wanna pass your Prometric Exam, BUT you have to start studying at least 2-3 weeks before exam day so you would have enough time to study all the questions there. You have to understand not only memorize the Questions, It's very important "take the concept from the explanation part as well. Revise all the questions at least Twice before taking MOCK exam. Honestly this portal is Extra helpful and no need to waste your time in reading books ...etc. I guarantee 100% you will pass your exam.
